Contact UsIn a 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) network, defining the anchor point is an essential step to ensure smooth handovers between the 5G and 4G networks. The anchor point is the node in the network that manages the handover process between the 5G and 4G networks. Here are some best 5 practices for defining the anchor point in NSA 5G:
Ensure compatibility between 5G and 4G networks: The anchor point should be able to support both 5G and 4G radio access technologies and ensure seamless handovers between the two networks. This requires proper configuration and synchronization of network parameters such as frequency bands, modulation schemes, and QoS policies.
The base station of Option 3 series is connected to 4G core network, and the anchor points of the control plane are all in 4G core. It is suitable for the initial phase of 5G deployment, when the coverage is not continuous, and there is not much 5G service. It exists purely as a supplement to 4G wireless broadband. Option 3
In this way, Option 3x avoids making too many changes to the 4G base stations and 4G core network already in operation, and takes advantage of the fast speed and strong capability of 5G base stations. Therefore, it has been widely adopted by the industry and has become the first choice for 5G NSA networking deployment.
The following describes the concepts needed to understand 5G network architectures: Evolved Packet Core (EPC): an LTE core network. EPC is classified into two types: traditional LTE core network (supporting access through LTE base stations) and upgraded LTE core network (also called EPC+, supporting access through 5G base stations).
For 5G network architecture to support demanding applications, the design will be complex – and thus, so will your base station design. We're talking about data transmitting over distances, large data volumes or both. 5G network applications range from smart cities to manufacturing – even to smart farming.
