The energy density of lithium-ion batteries used in space exploration can exceed 200 Wh/kg, facilitating efficient energy storage for the demanding requirements of deep-space missions . 5.4. The energy density of lithium-ion batteries used in grid applications is a critical parameter influencing their effectiveness in storing and delivering power. Typically, grid-scale lithium-ion batteries have energy densities ranging from 100 to 200 Wh/kg .
