It is typical application is to convert battery voltage into conventional household AC voltage allowing you to use electronic devices when an AC power is not available.
The input specifications of an inverter concern the DC power originating from the solar panels and how effectively the inverter can handle it. The maximum DC input voltage is all about the peak voltage the inverter can handle from the connected panels. The value resonates with the safety limit for the inverter.
The required impedance curves can deter-mined by measurement, analytically or by simula-tion . This paper concentrates on measuring the output impedance of inverters by means of a new measuring technique called differential impedance spectroscopy.
As a first general con-clusion, the size of the impedance correlates with the nominal power as expected, i.e. high-power inverters tend to show lower output impedance. Furthermore all devices have at least one parallel resonance point, whereas its position and form differ between the devices.
The method, in which the low voltage DC power is inverted, is completed in two steps. The first step is the conversion of the low voltage DC power to a high voltage DC source, and the second step is the conversion of the high DC source to an AC waveform using pulse width modulation.
An AFCI is a safety device that detects and minimizes the cause of fire caused by electrical arcs. If this feature is mentioned in the datasheet, it means AFCI is already installed in the setup. Anti-islanding protection specification ensures the solar inverter automatically shuts down during a power outage.
